One Direction Are Now Tied With The Beatles

According to a release from Billboard on Sunday, Niall Horan's Flicker album hit number one on the charts after its first week. This means that One Direction and The Beatles are now the only two bands in history to have three members with #1 solo albums.

Along with Flicker, Harry Styles' self-titled album and Zayn Malik's Mind of Mine have both reached the top of the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, the only Beatle to not have a #1 album is Ringo Starr. (Poor Ringo. I feel like he always gets the short end of the stick.)

One Direction now has a feasible chance to out-do The Beatles as the band with the most solo success; two other members, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, still have albums set to debut soon. Only time will tell what happens...stay tuned.
